Rasha Abbas is a Syrian writer of short stories. She is currently based in Berlin, Germany since 2015. In 2008, she published her first collection, Adam Hates the Television, Her second short story collection the Invention of German Grammar was published in 2018, The Gist of It, her third collection was published in 2019. she is recently the editor of the cultural section of Al-jumhuriah website, and the coordinator of the cultural supplement 'Hamesh' issued by the same website.
