Nuha Eltinay is MENA Regional Representative and Board Advisor for Resurgence, supporting the regional upscaling of DARAJA, the award-winning City-Community Forecasting and Early Warning Service and Partnership. Receiving her Ph.D. in Urban Resilience from London South Bank University, and MSc from University of Westminster in International Planning and Sustainable Development, Nuha worked for the World Bank Group MNA Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land Global Practice as a Senior Urban Specialist, and currently supporting the UNDRR Regional Office for the Arab States in the implementation of the Coherence initiative between Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change (CC) at the national level. With extensive experience in applying Urban Resilience Assessments in 25 Arab cities, Nuha held the position of the Director of Urban Planning and Sustainable Development at the Arab Urban Development Institute, working closely with MENA Region local and national governments in building risk governance capacities and developing climate change adaptation and urban resilience city planning policies. Nuha has been highly active in publishing research and advocating for building coherence between the 2030 global Agendas for the SDGs, Paris Agreement, the Habitat III, and the Sendai Framework for disaster risk reduction.
