Omar Dajani, a Palestinian-American academic, and a former member of the Negotiations Support Unit of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), began his involvement in 1999 when he departed the United States to assume the role of a senior legal advisor to the Palestinian negotiation team within the PLO. In 2001, he transitioned to a position as a political advisor to United Nations Special Envoy Terje Rød-Larsen, which he held until 2003. Currently, Dajani serves as a Professor of Law at the McGeorge School of Law, part of the University of the Pacific, located in Sacramento, California.
